Canan leads the payment experience for Amazon's northern European marketplaces, including Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden. In this role, she is responsible for managing the available payment methods, ensuring a seamless customer experience, optimizing costs, maintaining compliance, and enabling new payment methods to drive customer access and engagement on Amazon. Canan and her team actively collaborate with the payments supply chain partners, including financial institutions and regulators, to represent the needs of customers and merchants and drive solutions that address their requirements. Canan is based in London and has been with Amazon for 8 years, during which she has held various positions in different business areas in Luxembourg and the UK. Prior to joining Amazon, she gained experience in the financial services, banking, and telecommunications sectors. Canan holds an engineering degree from George Washington University.
